The Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage Folkdance Group is composed of university students and teachers who are fond of Thai folkdance and classical Thai dances. The implementation of the group is under the supervision of the Thai Art and Culture Club of the University.

The Thai Art and Culture Club has been formed up since 1978 in Pathum Thani Province, Central Region of Thailand with an aim to cultivate its students for the preservation and dissemination of traditional Thai dance – folkdance including to promote international cultural exchanges between Thai and foreign countries. The group’s very famous for its classical Central dance and North Eastern folkdance.

The group has a lot of experience for the participation in international cultural exchanges in many countries and also CIOFF Festivals, such as in Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and South Korea, etc.
