Sonar Chamber Choir was established in 1998. Our members are from every part of Taiwan’s society and teachers and students are especially the majority. We hold ticket-selling annual concert. Our target is to become an exquisite choir. We hope to bring a new trend to Yilan’s choir environment and to lead the seeds of music to take root. Through our annual regular performances, we expect our members to move towards the field of professional performances.

　　In recent years, we often performed local musicians’ works, well-known local folk songs and world’s folk songs, the idyll and film music and so forth. We strived to make our repertoire abundant and diversified. Through the concept of “Global Village”, we hope we could make friends with foreign friends and to sing together happily.

　　Sonar Chamber Choir has been invited to perform in the concert tours of United States and Austria and participated in international choir festival in Hungary, Ireland, Czech Republic. We also won the bronze medal in the Bussan International Choir Competition. We expect ourselves to be the driving forces for the local choral art and culture and keep working on the goal to be an exquisite and professional choir team.
