"Yilan Symphony Orchestra" takes the ambition of creating high-quality music and cultivating local talents, using a young and energetic atmosphere to break through the limitations of lacking in musicians and funding difficulties, and finally formally established in 2020.

The predecessor of the Yilan Symphony Orchestra is the Manxiang Youth Chamber Orchestra. It is conducted by the young musician Xu Zhongchun, a young musician who has returned from Germany. Most members of the orchestra come from students, teachers, and people in the society who love music and specialize in music. With professional leadership in conducting, upholding the love and persistence of music, many years of hard work, the courage to experience multiple types of performances, presenting classical and crossover collaboration to the audience at the same time, hoping to bring the audience a multi-level performance art program and music listening experience. The group hopes to cultivate music talents belonging to Yilan in an all-round way, and cultivate a musical environment associated with Yilans own characteristics. It hopes to make the local music art more refined and universal. We are striding forward towards the goal of professionalism and sustainability.
